SafeHaven Refuge™

Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance/Multiple Chemical Sensitivity makes life unbearable

SafeHaven Refuge™

A small home built to the specifications of your own personal Tolerable Materials Portfolio

SafeHaven Refuge™ is a small home or Tiny House on Wheels (THoW) that has been manufactured with physiological relief in mind for the IEI/MCS Warrior.

Aluminum Frame

The structural panels have been tested under strict laboratory conditions, and it was found that they do not emit any measurable volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the lab. Extended exposure by a small sampling of IEI/MCS Warriors has confirmed our conviction that this is an ideal building material for this population.

Construction of the SafeHaven Refuge™ THoW begins with the composite skin panel structure built on an all-aluminum frame.

C-SIP shell

We take pride to carry on this care in materials selection to ensure that every material used will minimize or eliminate all triggers to adverse response in the prospective inhabitant. This applies to every aspect of construction—beginning with the shell of the home, but including every paint and surface covering, adhesive, grout, and seal. We even ensure that kitchen appliances, electrical and plumbing systems, and the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and filtration systems (HVACF) will not stimulate any intolerable effects on our clients by direct verification in the SafeHaven LifeLab™.

Quarantreat A
Luxury Living Unit

Taking a cue from construction of bio-labs, the interior will be designed with ease of cleaning at core. Surfaces will be easily accessible for sweeping and wiping, and floor coverings will be coved up the walls 4-6 inches (not shown) to eliminate any seams between walls and floors that can accumulate crud and foster unwanted biological growth.

Every home is custom-built for the buyer. The SafeHaven LifeLab™ is a specially designed mobile space constructed from the same C-SIP materials as all of our homes where IEI/MCS Warriors can establish lists of materials that do and do not adversely affect them.
