SafeHaven SleepPod™

Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance/Multiple Chemical Sensitivity makes it very difficult to get a good night’s rest

SafeHaven SleepPod™

A small sleeping chamber for indoor or outdoor use

SafeHaven SleepPod™ is a protected sleeping chamber that can be used inside or outside to isolate the IEI/MCS Warrior from airborne irritants.

The structural panels have been tested under strict laboratory conditions, and it was found that they do not emit any measurable volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the lab. Extended exposure by a small sampling of IEI/MCS Warriors has confirmed our conviction that this is an ideal building material for this population.

Pictured here is a prototype that was inhabited by a severe sufferer of MCS.She slept in a sleeping bag on a mat in this chamber for several months. The walls boast a 14.1 R uniform value when closed up, so she kept warm enough even without climate control in the mild climate of Southern California.

Construction of the SafeHaven SleepPod™ sleeping chamber begins with the composite skin panel shell.

Variations on the design are available for interior-only or for interior/exterior models. The exterior models will feature impressive insulation like this one, and can be equipped with a climate control system that has been validated as non-triggering prior to completion of the sale.

Luxury Living Unit

The prototype featured a McGivered air circulation system that forced HEPA-filtered outdoor air into the chamber to maintain a fresh supply of pollen-free air and positive air pressure inside the chamber.

This prototype was assembled with tape, but new chambers will be well engineered to ship flat and assemble quickly and easily with buckle clips.

Every SleepPod™ is custom-built for the buyer. The SafeHaven LifeLab™ is a specially designed mobile space constructed from the same C-SIP materials as all of our homes where IEI/MCS Warriors can establish lists of materials that do and do not adversely affect them.
